United Way of Mid Coast Maine:

Service Area: Brunswick, Harpswell, Lincoln, Knox & Sagadahoc Counties.
 
United Way is in a unique position to bring people together—community partners, donors, and volunteers—to solve community challenges that not one organization can do on their own. Together, we can give kids the best start, build financial stability, and help everyone live healthy and connected lives.
 
United Way of Mid Coast Maine:

• Is a locally governed and independently run non-profit organization led by a small staff and dozens of community volunteers. We have been a trusted community partner for almost 70 years.
• Helps non-profit organizations, schools, municipalities, and employers to respond to emerging and unmet community needs, meet their missions, and support their workforce. We are an advocate and advisor, connector and convener, funder and friend. Together, we mobilize volunteers and connect individuals and families to local programs and resources.

 
United Way of Mid Coast Maine Community Response Initiative:

• Community Fund: helping more than 27,000 people throughout the Midcoast every year by supporting 50 local community programs and initiatives.
• Sagadahoc County Working Communities Challenge: helping to increase youth hopefulness.
• MaineHousing Homeless Response Service Midcoast Hub: helping to reduce and eliminate homelessness.
• Brunswick New Mainers Initiative: helping our newest neighbors have the resources they need to thrive.
• Midcoast CA$H Coalition: helping individuals and families make the most of their money through free tax preparation.
• VolunteerME: mobilizing the caring power of our community through volunteer opportunities with partners throughout the Midcoast.
• FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program: supporting emergency food and shelter programs in our service area.
