When you contribute through United Way of Mid Coast Maine, you have a powerful impact on your neighbor's lives and on our community.  Together we are getting results that no one can accomplish alone.

 

United Way's four Solutions Councils are working in the areas of:  Meeting Basic Needs/Safety Net, A Safe & Healthy Community, Success By 6:  Early Childhood, and Youth and Lifelong Learning.  They are undertaking initiatives to get to the heart of the most important issues in our community, including home heating assistance, affordable housing, alcohol abuse, violence and bullying, and early literacy and school readiness. 

 

We are working toward 23 Community Goals and a vision for the future of our community.

 

Through funding of our 38 partner agencies, we are changing thousands of lives for the better here in Mid Coast Maine.  You can learn more about how our funded programs are helping people, by Community Fund Strategy or by local community.  Each number reflects a real human being, and a few of these success stories are gathered here as well.
