Flanked by enlarged headlines and photographs from the 1956 Bath Daily Times, volunteers and supporters at United Way of Mid Coast Maine's annual meeting Wednesday began a year-long celebration of the organization's 50th anniversary and learned about successful new investments in the area's youngest children.
