Youth & Lifelong Learning Council

·         Bath Area Family Y.M.C.A. - Y Abundant Assets

Offers high quality programs and member services through character development and abundant assets, building caring, competent, and productive youth in the community.

·         Bath Area Family Y.M.C.A. - Y Membership Financial Aid

Provides financial assistance for any youth, adult, or senior who desires to participate in and benefit from the YMCA services.

·         Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick - Community and School-based Mentoring

Matches adult mentors with youth at risk in one-to-one mentoring relationships.

·         Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mid Coast Maine - Site-based and Community-based Mentoring

Pairs at risk children in relationships with trained high school and adult volunteers to positively affect confidence, social and emotional competence, and care for self, family, and community.

·         Elmhurst, Inc. - Supported Living Program

Provides one-on-one assistance and support to individuals with disabilities who are living in their own home or apartment in the greater Bath region.

·         Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council - Girl Grant

Provides financial assistance to ensure that no girl is denied the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout programs due to financial concerns.

·         Independence Assoc. - Learning Center Program

Identifies, develops and fosters connections for individuals with disabilities in the greater Brunswick area, and functions as a channel for individuals to access these valuable resources.

·         Mobius, Inc. - Career Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities

Provides necessary support for adults and youth with developmental disabilities to work in integrated community jobs in Lincoln County, and to receive competitive wages for work performed.

·         People Plus Teen Center - Brunswick Teen Center

Provides activities and a safe gathering place for young people living in Brunswick, to build teen self-confidence and connections to their community.

·         Tri-County Literacy Volunteers - Adult Learner Program

Adult learners are tutored by trained volunteers, individually or in small groups, to develop reading, writing, comprehension, and computational literacy skills.

·         Youth Alternatives - Family Mediation

With the help of trained volunteer mediators, offers youth and families the opportunity to resolve differences and learn more effective communication skills.

·         Youth Promise - Jump Start

Provides young people who are struggling with positive life skills and a mentor to give them a jump start in their life.
