Together we are improving lives and building stronger communities -- right here in Brunswick, Harpswell, Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties. The partnership among donors, United Way, and locally funded programs is successfully helping thousands of people.

Local people who are hungry are getting food. People who are sick and uninsured are getting health care. People are getting the critical help they need to improve their lives.

Our goal is long lasting change that prevents problems from happening in the first place. That's why United Way invests in children as a top priority. We already have great results to share in improving early literacy and child care through our hallmark Success By 6 initiative. This is the ultimate prevention strategy -- helping thousands of area children to reach their full potential!

United Way focuses on identified high priority community goals in the key areas of: *Meeting Basic Needs/Safety Net, *A Safe and Healthy Community, *Youth and Lifelong Learning, as well as *Success By 6. We bring people together from all across the community to work toward solutions -- whether that takes raising funds, engaging volunteers, connecting people to help, informing public policy, or convening the right people and partners.

Together, we're all part of something big, bringing lasting change to the people of Mid Coast Maine.
Because that's what matters!
