How to Volunteer
United Way of Mid Coast Maine knows the importance of volunteers! We are proud to work with all 10 United Ways in Maine, the Maine Emergency Management Agency and the Maine Commission for Community Service to create and maintain a
statewide website service for volunteers.
Through the
Volunteer Maine Partnership, United Way of Mid Coast Maine provides assistance to individuals/groups seeking volunteer opportunities, either one-time or on-going, and provides an easy to use format for agencies seeking volunteers.

is a statewide link between people in the community interested in volunteering and agencies looking for volunteers.
It is FREE to all users.
It REACHES the entire state.
It's EASY TO USE.
It WORKS for all public, non-profit, emergency management and civic volunteer efforts.
If you want to see improvement in your neighborhood, school, city or favorite agency, there are so many ways to get involved:
- Deliver meals.
- Serve on a local board or committee.
- Mentor a child.
- Create and maintain a nature trail.
- Share your artistic talent with residents in a nursing care or respite facility.
