2-1-1 Maine
In July 2006, United Ways in Maine, in partnership with Ingraham and the state of Maine, launched
211 Maine, a statewide information and referral service.
Trained information and referral specialists are able to assist callers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Services are available statewide -- simply by
dialing 2-1-1.
The on-line 2-1-1 Maine database, which currently lists over 13,000 human service programs, is available to everyone at
www.211Maine.org
Simply click the red 211 DIRECTORY button at the top right hand side of the page. Then, enter what service or type of services you're looking for, and your zip code.
United Way of Mid Coast Maine is proud to use our experience to play a significant role in forming this exciting new statewide service, which reaches many more people, on the phone or on-line, at any hour of the day or night that they need help.
Regional Resource Center
We and other United Ways in Maine play an oversight role in 2-1-1. In addition, United Way of Mid Coast Maine serves as 2-1-1's Resource Center for our Mid Coast region, gathering and updating information on locally available services.
