Making Homes More Energy Efficient
Tighten Up, Plug the Holes. Save Fuel and Money!
The training is now complete for the energy evaluators and 100 homes have been identified, so registrations are now closed. We are now matching the installation teams with homeowners and looking for volunteers to work with the energy evaluators to install the winterization kits.
Each home should take approximately 3 hours and no special training is required. If you are interested or would like more information please send an email to: info@uwmcm.org with your name, address, phone, email, days of the week you are available, what towns you would be able to work in (Lincoln and Sagadahoc Counties and Brunswick and Harpswell), and the number of homes you would be willing to work on.
The tasks include caulking, weatherstripping, insulating (pre-bagged insulation), installation of interior storm windows, with some hammering and drilling.
