Daily Call-in Programs
Subheads

The purpose of these programs is to provide daily checks on participating individuals to ensure they are safe. People use these programs to make a daily connection with another person, a connection if there is a chronic medical condition, give comfort to family members who live far away, and several other reasons. Programs in other locations are being considered.
Bath Area: The Bath Police Department has a program for participants to call each morning to police department personnel. If the department hasn't received a call by 10 AM, they will place a call to the participant. If contact cannot be made a police officer will check at the home. For more information, click here for page 1 and here for page 2.
Brunswick Area: People Plus of Brunswick manages this program. The coverage area is now just for Brunswick, but work is underway to see if the program can be expended to Topsham, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, and Richmond. The People Plus program works differently than the one in Bath.
In this program, the participants call in to either leave a message or to speak to a program volunteer, just to say: "I'm OK today". For more information on this program, click here.
Programs are being investigated for the other towns of Sagadahoc County and for Lincoln County. More information to follow.
